About
Ahmed Eid blends cultural musical traditions and social struggles.
The rhythms and melodies of Arabic music, which enveloped his
early days growing up in Palestine, have been a continuous source
of inspiration through his journeys in North Africa and Europe.
As the co-founder of the internationally acclaimed band Bukahara,
Eid seamlessly transcends roles as bassist, percussionist, guitarist,
and singer-songwriter, pouring his soul into the creation of eclectic
sounds that have echoed across global stages, reflecting his unique
and diverse musical influences.
Now, embarking on a solo journey with his debut EP “Aghani Akhira أغاني اخيرة “
(Last Songs), Ahmed Eid reaches deeper into pressing personal and global issues
such as patriarchal violence and colonialism.
Beyond the spotlight, Ahmed’s unwavering commitment to nurturing
emerging talents and alternative music scenes is reflected in the launch of
the “Palestine Music Space” in Ramallah. This initiative provides free music
education and recording space and stands as a beacon of hope
and creativity for young musicians in Palestine.
